dc.description.abstract The present study used red seabream (Pagrus major) as the experimental fish, and the experiment was conducted in cages inside the Tongyeong Marine Science Station (KIOST). The PSAT (Model mrPAT, Wildlife Computer Inc., USA) was attached to the muscle below the red seabream’s dorsal fin using a mono filament (N=3). After attaching PSAT, the attachment site was sterilized with povidone iodine solution, after which all experimental fish were bathed in seawater with oxytetrachycline added. To investigate the changes in physiological responses according to PSAT attachment, blood samples were collected from all experimental fish, including the control (n=3), at 1, 7, and 14 days after the attachment. Upon blood sample collection, whole blood was used to measure hematocrit and hemoglobin levels. After separating the plasma (12,000 rpm, 5 min, 4℃), the separated plasma was used to measure the GOT, GPT, glucose, total protein, and cholesterol levels using DRI-CHEM 4000i (FUJIFILM, Japan). Meanwhile, the plasma cortisol, superoxide dismutase (SOD), and catalase (CAT) levels were measured using the ELISA method. Additionally, on 1 and 21 days after PSAT attachment, the brains of 3 fish each from the experimental and control groups were extracted to look for changes in SOD and CAT mRNA expression. In addition, the survival rate of all experimental fish during the test period was also investigated.the muscle below the red seabream’s dorsal fin using a mono filament (N=3).
