한국해양과학기술원의 연구활동: KIOST의 국내외 연구 소개

Abstract

With the aim of guiding Korea toward fulfilling its dream of becoming a maritime power by pursuing innovative and creative developments in basic and applied ocean science and technology, Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology (KIOST) is doing research on ocean resources and related applications of such resources for the development of marine science and technology and the marine industry. KIOST also fostering of outstanding professionals in the marine sector and public services, development, inspection, and repair of marine-related equipment, machinery, and technology, establishment and operation of marine infrastructure, such as ocean science research stations, and commissioned research, joint research, and technology partnerships with domestic and overseas universities, research institutions, and companies. KIOST plays a pivotal role in the network of Korean ocean science and technology activities through cooperation with related maritime inter-agencies at home and abroad. To reach out the Myanmar geoscientists who are initiating in the marine geosciences education and research, local and global researches from KIOST will be introduced and discussed the ways to work together in the future.T) is doing research on ocean resources and related applications of such resources for the development of marine science and technology and the marine industry.
