Abstract
Monitoring of sea surface temperature (SST) is an important factor for predicting the marine environment and climate changes. In this study, the observed water temperature of Socheongcho Ocean Research Station (SORS) and the Korea Ocean Operational System (KOOS) SST (KSST) data of 1km resolution were used to compare water temperature and to analyze the changes from January 1, 2015 to August 10, 2017. When the water temperature is analyzed by season, the water temperature observed by IR camera is found to be higher in spring and summer. Its standard deviation was 0.63~1.14°C and the correlation coefficient was 0.81~0.99. However, in autumn and winter, the IR camera showed lower water temperature, and the deviation was 0.90~1.17°C and the correlation coefficient was 0.91~0.99. When the comparison between KSST and water temperature of SORS, the correlation coefficient of IR camera was the highest, but the deviation was 1.05°C which was higher than other equipments. The correlation coefficient and deviation of the other two equipments were 0.97 and 0.98°C, but CTD temperature was calculated lower than KSST.rational System (KOOS) SST (KSST) data of 1km resolution were used to compare water temperature and to analyze the changes from January 1, 2015 to August 10, 2017.
