Abstract
In the event that an underwater robot applies to underwater construction, it is possible to replace diving manpower. This lead to dramatically increase the number of possible working days for construction because it improves the construction safety and has relatively low effect of external requirements. Particularly, in the underwater construction such as a submarine cable laying, the use of equipment is a key factor. It should be considered the related factors such as marine environmental survey, ship condition, the efficiency of laying equipment, the work performance, and the number of lifting in the underwater construction process. In this study, a tool for the scheduling method was presented briefly and calculated the number of available working days. This includes an estimation method for construction duration considering the scientific data (marine environmental data, geotechnical data, wind speed, etc.) and calculating the number of working days of the equipment comprising a hill climbing ability, shear capacity of foundation, and resistance to tide current.
