Marine Security and Safety Research Center해양방위·안전연구센터

The Marine Security and Safety Research Center (MSSRC) is engaged in efforts to acquire information on the marine environment for maritime defense support through naval oceanographic environmental survey projects and to develop/utilize multi-purpose unmanned exploration technology. Underwater acoustic detection analysis and integrated analysis visualization systems are being developed. MSSRC is cooperating with the Korea Coast Guard and the ROK Navy to support underwater search and rescue operations during marine disasters and accidents.

해양방위·안전연구센터는 해양특성조사 사업을 통해 해양방위 지원을 위한 해양환경 정보취득 및 무인탐사 기술 개발·활용을 위한 연구를 수행하고 있다. 수중음향 탐지 분석 및 통합 분석 가시화 체계를 개발하고, 해양경찰 및 해군과 협조하여 해양재난 및 사고 시 해저탐색 및 수색을 지원하고 있다.
