Abstract
This document reports on straylight analysis study performed for the Geostationary Ocean Color Imager II (GOCI-II). This study covers light scattering and ghost images effects, with respect to the latest design at GOCI-II CDR.The straylight analysis allows checking the good design of the instrument baffling system, and adequation of optomechanical surfaces treatments covering both optical and thermal needs.The outputs of the analysis are the ghost location and intensity and the straylight level.The analysis has been performed using ASAP program developed by Breault Research Organization.ight analysis allows checking the good design of the instrument baffling system, and adequation of optomechanical surfaces treatments covering both optical and thermal needs.The outputs of the analysis are the ghost location and intensity and the straylight level.The analysis has been performed using ASAP program developed by Breault Research Organization.
