Abstract
- Compared to the atmospheric signal, signals from ocean is small and, therefore, is more
susceptible for any radiometric anomalies in the data. So, the inter-slot radiometric discrepancy
(ISRD), which is meant radiometric inconsistency between the adjacent slots, is clearer in remote
sensing reflectance (Rrs) than in top of atmosphere (TOA) radiance. This research analyzes
radiometric inconsistency between the adjacent slots in Rrs data of GOCI, which is retrieved from
L1B TOA radiance using the correction of inter-slot radiometric discrepancy using the minimum
noise fraction transform, namely CIDUM. GDPS 1.6 is used for the atmospheric correction. The
effect of horizontal ISRD is mitigated in all slot images and the differences between upper- and
bottom- slots becomes close to 0 in band 4 through 8. With the NIR band accuracy of L1B
product improved by SLRI correction algorithm, the available Rrs data increase by 2~18% in each
band than before using the correction algorithm.
