Abstract
Total of 16 area which developed on Phragmites Community along the coast in Korean peninsula carried on a quantitative sampling to estimate a spatial distribution and standing crop. One transect including four of station between the highest position to growing located in land and the lowest position to mud flats designated at each area to sample two times before and after raining season, June and October, in 2018,respectively. The samples which cut only stem and leaf excluding roots, and counted on individuals, measured on all length and weighted after dry. All of population have been composed comprehensively with new age group and 1-year age group. In June, one-year age measures about 62cm of mean length, but in October, after four month, it reached to 160cm. Maximum mean length showed in Kanghwa about 311cm, and mean density showed in Seosan (286 ind/m2). Spatial distribution at each transect showed same conditions decreasing on ocean direction in mean length and density, it can be understand that a long individuals including one-year group failed down to the bottom affected by physical effects such as heave raining and storming during summer season. Accordingly, a part of land direction showd the highest standing crop depending on the density at each station. Along the geographical characteristics, for example enclosed and semi-enclosed area, standing crops calculated higher than any other conditions sucha as well open area.
