dc.description.abstract The genus Spinoncaea currently comprises three species, identified based on the modification of caudal rami seta III into a strong spioniform element the lobated hyaline frill at the posterior margin of urosomite the reduced number of six elements on the maxillule. The tropical Pacific specimens showed the intermediate morphological characteristics of these three species. We discuss the new species of Spinoncaeafrom two areas of the Pacific. -
