흑접패 Pinctada margaritifera (Linnaeus 1758)의 패각색상 결정기작

Abstract

We measured the pearl color determining-related genes expression which was directly affecting the pearlescent crystals in mantle of the black and red phenotype of Black-lip pearl oyster. As the result, the expression of shell color determining-related gene was significantly higher at black phenotype. The results of this study suggest that the important pearl color in the pearl business suggests that the gene determining the color of the mantle.
