dc.description.abstract Korea government submitted an agenda document with the title of “Information on the technological development of the Escape guiding system for passenger ships” (IMO SSE4/INF2, 2017). SEGA-People, the smart escape support system, sponsored by South Korean Ministry of Ocean and Fisheries, is being developed starting from 2016 with a roadmap of 4 years. For the research, there has been several academic activities: the presentation about trend of passenger evacuation analysis (Ryu et al., 2017a), the presentation concerning people detection technology (Choi et al., 2017 Choi et al., 2019). The paper regarding the shortening effect of escape guidance (Ryu et al., 2017b) and the IMO agenda concerning passenger ship escape (IMO SSE, 2017). SEGA-People aims to give rapid response for the crew and passengers under the hazardous situations on the ship to guide them evacuate. This paper is summary of research report (Choi et al, 2019) and above activities. Further detail of this study is not described in this paper but will be explained on presentation on Asia Navigation Conference 2019 which will be held on November 21st to 23rd 2019. -
