연구자 속성별 연구성과 분포 분석 -의약학 분야를 중심으로-

Abstract

이 연구의 목적은 대학교수의 지식생산 활동의 성과를 다양한 속성변수들과 연계하여 분석하고, 결과를 해석하는 데 있다. 이 연구에서는 의약학 분야의 전국 4년제 대학 교수들을 대상으로 실증분석을 수행하였다. 이 연구의 분석결과를 간략히 정리하면, 이 연구에서 분석대상으로 삼은 인적속성 변수들과 환경속성 변수, 그리고 연구비 변수들은 연구성과에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 요인이었다. 분석결과에 기반을 두어, 이 연구에서는 첫째, 성별, 연령 등 과소 대표된 연구자집단에 대한 지원을 강화할 것과, 둘째, 연구성과가 산업적 성과로 연계될 수 있도록 지원하는 것이 필요함을 제안하였다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the research achievements of university professors with regard to various attribute variables and interpret the results. An empirical analysis was conducted on professors teaching the field of medicine and pharmacology at the universities of Korea. To summarize the research findings, the human attributes, environmental attributes and funding attributes analyzed had a significant effect on their research achievements. Based on the research findings, the author posits two suggestions. First, support for the under-represented research groups affiliated with sex or age should increase. Secondly, it is vital that research achievements should be linked to industrial needs withy concommitant increase in support.
