Abstract
Three types of connectors were suggested and tested for a modular double-skinned composite tubular(DSCT) wind turbine tower which is composed of two concentric steel tubes and concrete filled between them. The suggested three types were a socket type connector, an H-type connector, and a bolting-welding-shear key connector. Three modular DSCT tower specimens which were connected by the suggested connectors and a one-body specimen were built. Quasi-static test was applied to evaluate the performances of the three types of connectors, and their behavioral characteristics and failure modes were analyzed. Test results showed that the specimen which had bolting-welding-shear key connectors exerted almost equal moment resisting capacity to that of the one-body specimen, but the other modular specimens exerted only the half moment resisting capacity of the one-body specimen. Also the results showed that the bolting-welding-shear key connector is applicable to a modular DSCT wind turbine tower by showing that it had equal ductility, maximum lateral displacement, and energy dissipation to those of the one-body specimen.

내부와 외부의 두 강재튜브 사이에 콘크리트를 충진한 모듈형 DSCT(Double-Skinned Composite Tubular) 풍력타워 제작을 위한 3종류의 연결부 형식을 제안하고, 성능을 실험적으로 평가하였다. 소켓형식, H형 커넥터, 용접 몰탈 접합형 연결부 3종을 적용한 모듈형 DSCT 타워 시험체 3기와 일체형 시험체 1기를 제작하였으며, 준정적 실험을 수행하여 접합부 거동 특성 및 파괴양상을 분석하였다. 실험 결과, 용접 몰탈 접합형 연결부를 적용한 모듈구조 시험체가 일체형 시험체와 대등한 휨강도를 발휘하였으나, 다른 2종의 연결부 시험체는 일체형 시험체의 50% 수준의 휨강도를 보였다. 용접 몰탈 접합형 연결부 적용 시험체는 연성도 및 최대 횡변위, 에너지 소산능력에서도 일체형 시험체와 대등한 성능을 보여주어, 용접 몰탈 접합형 연결부가 모듈형 DSCT 풍력타워의 연결부로서 적합함을 보여주었다.
