dc.description.abstract An existing numerical model for determining the wave field and pore presures inside rubblemound breakwater was reformulated here especialy to enhance the predictability of interior pore presures. Thepore presures strongly depend on the nonlinear wave field ocuring along frontal slope which is very dificultto be numericaly reproduced. In the present study, hence, the amplitude and phase informations of wavepressures along the frontal slope are obtained directly through a hydraulic model test and are incorporated into thenumerical model. The interior wave field is analyzed by a boundary element method, and thereby the pore pressuresare determined.It was found that the calculated pore pressures agreed quite well with experimental values. -
