Abstract
울산 주변해역에서 2002년 12월 4일 앨퉁이 난을 채집하였다. 이 중에서 48개 난의 밀도를 밀도측정기 (densitygradient column, MIC Inc.)로 측정하였다. 측정한 난의 밀도는 1.0235~1.0265 g/cm3였고, 발생이 진행됨에 따라 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 발생단계별 난의 밀도는 발생초기에 1.0240~1.0252 g/cm3이고, 중앙값은 1.0247 g/cm3이었다. 발생중기에는 1.0235~1.0263 g/cm3이고, 중앙값은 1.0249 g/cm3였다. 발생후기에는 1.0242~1.0265g/cm3이고, 중앙값은 1.0255 g/cm3였다. 조사해역의 해수밀도는 1.0245~1.0264 g/cm3였다. 발생초기와 중기에 난의 밀도는 표층에서 수심 120~130 m 수층의 해수밀도와, 발생후기에 난의 밀도는 수심 55~140 m의 해수밀도와 유사하였다.

Maurolicus muelleri eggs were collected off Ulsan, Korea, on December 4, 2002. Density of 48eggs was measured by a density-gradient column. The egg density ranged from 1.0235 to1.0265 g/cm3. The egg density tends to increase with the development of the eggs. The median density of the eggs in the early stage was 1.0247 (density range: 1.0240~1.0252) g/cm3, in the intermediate stage 1.0249 (density range: 1.0235~1.0263) g/cm3, and in the later stage 1.0255(density range: 1.0242~1.0265) g/cm3. The density of seawater in the study area was1.0245~1.0264 g/cm3. The density of the eggs in the early and intermediate stage was similar to the density of the sea water from the surface to the 120~130 m depth layer. The density of the eggs in the later stage was equal to the density of the sea water from the 55~140 m depth layer.
