Abstract
- In 2002, sweet potato chlorotic stunt virus (SPCSV) was first detected in Korea. In this paper, the full genome of SPCSV were identified and sequenced in sweet potato with virus-like symptoms by using next-generation sequencing (NGS) analysis. We confirmed the occurrence of SPCSV by using symptomatic sweet potato samples in 2021 and 2022. As a result, it might also spread from Asian countries and could have devastating effects on sweet potato cultivation in Korea. © 2022, Koninklijke Nederlandse Planteziektenkundige Vereniging.
