Abstract
In 2002, sweet potato chlorotic stunt virus (SPCSV) was first detected in Korea. In this paper, the full genome of SPCSV were identified and sequenced in sweet potato with virus-like symptoms by using next-generation sequencing (NGS) analysis. We confirmed the occurrence of SPCSV by using symptomatic sweet potato samples in 2021 and 2022. As a result, it might also spread from Asian countries and could have devastating effects on sweet potato cultivation in Korea. © 2022, Koninklijke Nederlandse Planteziektenkundige Vereniging.
