Abstract
- The research has been carried out identification of meiofauna collected from 10 stations at Hupo, Uljin, South Korea, in August 2013 and July 2014, in order to monitor the biodiversity changes of meiofauna by ocean acidification. The target taxa are gnathostomulids, gastrotrichs, tardigrads, and copepods in meiofauna, of which the major group is gastrotrich. As the result, the gastrotrichs are identified 21 species belonging to 16 genera of 7 families in 2 orders, of which 4 species (Dendrodasys duplus, Macrodasys n. sp., Ptychostomella n. sp., and Tetranchyroderma n. sp.) are new to science. Moreover, 1 gnathostomulid, 1 tardigrad, and 4 harpacticoids are discovered. This presentation provides the inventory of occurrence species of meiofauna from hot spot, Hupo, Korea, as well as the photographs and video clips of the representative species. taxa are gnathostomulids, gastrotrichs, tardigrads, and copepods in meiofauna, of which the major group is gastrotrich.
