Abstract
Microbial diversity had been analyzed through the amplicon sequencing approach. Interestingly, the intestinal microbial diversity of rockfish showed a simple structure compared to that of other fish species. The results showed that Proteobacteria (>98%) is predominant. At the genus level, the intestinal microbiota was dominated by the genus Photobacterium, Aliivibrio, Vibrio and Enterovibrio. The diversity of the gut microbiota of wild rockfish was higher than that of cultured rockfish. Moreover, changes in the microbiota diversity according to the season of wild and cultured rockfish showed remarkable differences. Vibrio salmonicida, which is the cause of cold water vibriosis, was also found to be dominant in the part of wild rockfish obtained in the winter season. Analysis of samples in spring and summer is undergoing for understanding the seasonal changes of intestine microbial diversity of Korean rockfish. The results will give us inform for better management of Korean rockfish.
