dc.description.abstract Chemical investigations of the tropical marine sponge of the genus Xestospongia have resulted in the isolation of a new halenaquinone derivative named xestosaprol N (8) together with known metabolites. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of mass spectrometry and detailed 2D NMR spectroscopic data. -
