dc.description.abstract This paper is concerned with an accurate estimation of harbor resonant amplifications. A hybrid method was proposed by interactive use of the field measurements and numerical experiments. To prove the applicability of the proposed procedure, field measurements and numerical calculations were performed for the real harbor, Okkye located at the eastern coast of Korea. Comparisons between estimated and measured data show that the proposed method gives quite reasonable results for resonant amplifications as well as frequencies. It was found that amplifications may be estimated more accurately by using data near the entrance rather than using offshore region data, due to the directional spreading of the incident waves. -
