dc.description.abstract | A three-dimensional numerical modeling and data processing system was developed. The system, FEMOS(Finite Element MOdeling System), consists of numerical model for three-dimensional flow simulation, pre-processing of model input data, and post-processing system of the results on Window. The post-processing system inclueds dynamic visualization of water surface and tidal current vectors. To prove the performance of FEMOS, the system was applied to simulation of water circulation in Asan Bay. The vertical and horizontal distributions of simulated tidal currents showed good agreements with the distributions of observed currents. We found that the change of bottom shear stresses due to coastline change has an important effects on sedimentation process in Asan Bay. | - |
