Abstract

KoFlux is a regional Korean network of long-term micrometeorological flux measurement sites that focuses on measuring and interpreting ecosystem exchange of carbon dioxode over the Asian region. KoFlux belongs to AsiaFlux, the Asian arm of FLUXNET that is a global network of such flux sites. The new information will be applied to help define both the current status and the predictablilty of future trends in the global biogeochemical cycles of carbon, water and trace gases. KoFlux will contribute to improve our ability to predict the adaptability of ecosystems to current global changes. and aid decisions of the global community in the context of the Kyoto protocol.
