| dc.description.abstract | Currents around the southwestern part of the East Sea were investigated by using CTD and ADCP data observed in March and August 2001. The East Sea Warm Current(EKWC) flowed northward along the east coast of Korea in March. A small scale cold eddy circulated in the north of the Youngill Bay. In the Ulleung Basin, a meso scale warm eddy existed. In August, the EKWC also flowed northward and separated at Pohang. The cold and low salinity water flowed southward between the coat and the EKWC. The warm eddy in the Ulleung Basin moved southward. This current patterns measured by ADCP correspond with dynamic heights calculated by CTD data. | - |
