Abstract
According to the DSW project plan at sado island, Niigata Prefecture, 1,200 tons of deep-sea water will be supplied each day. Of this, 700tons will be used mainly for the aqua farming of black abalone seedings and hokkoku akaebi. The remaining 500 tons will be used for other commercial purpose. This paper outlines the pipeline construction work of Japan\\\\'s first lined-steel pipeline covered with thermal insulation.
