dc.description.abstract We collected ocean environmental data onboard the passenger ship from Incheon to Jeju for 4 times of year during 5 years. The ocean environmental parameters analyzed from these data for coastal area of Yellow Sea include suspended solid (SS) particulate matter and chlorophyll <chl> concentrations. SS appeared to be very high in Gyounggi Bay and southern coastal areas of the Yellow Sea during the autumn, whereas <chl> appeared to be high in the central area of Gyounggi bay and southern coastal area of Yellow Sea during summer, and it remained high in the Gyounggi bay and southern coastal areas of Yellow Sea during autumn. SeaWiFS Level-2 data for the period 1998 - 2004 show seasonal variations of chlorophyll concentration in the Yellow Sea and phytoplankton bloom in the central area of Yellow Sea during April, May, June, from 1998 to 2004. Suspended solid particulate concentration in the Yellow Sea appears to be high in Gyounggi Bay and southern coastal areas of Yellow Sea during spring and winter -
