Abstract
A seismic reflection survey was conducted to estimate the depth to the bedrock in the transition zone at the seaside of Incheon. To overcome the muddy environment of the project area and to achieve the higher efficiency in field procedure at the same time, a geophone streamer made of geophone elements on the stiff belt was developed. The sensor part was carefully made for waterproofing and preventing mud intrusion. There was another survey line on the shallow water near the geophone line. A hydrophone streamer was used on that line. The data quality of geophone streamer was comparably good as that of hydrophone streamer. A series of data processing such as filtering, velocity analysis and migration have been applied. The migrated section showed a good coincidence with the bedrock layer which was confirmed by drilling.
