dc.description.abstract An oceanographic multi-disciplinary survey was achieved to investigate carbon circulation in Ulleung Basin. Physical oceanographic survey items were temperature and salinity at 34 points by a CTD and current velocity along a ship track by a VM-ADCP on R/V Eardo. Water masses were clearly classified by temperature and salinity. Surface water that appears in summer season, Tsushima Warm Current Water, East Sea Intermediate Water and East/Japan Sea Proper Water were major water masses. The East/Japan Sea Proper Water is divided by the upper portion of the Japan Sea Proper Water and the deep water. An inverse method was applied to investigate circulation of the Ulleung Basin. The results were compared with measured current and the previous result of observation in July 1993. -
