dc.description.abstract | Ocean precdiction system for the northwest Pacific and its marginal seas has been developed. The ocean modeling system is based on the Regional Ocean Modeling System (ROMS), which is a free-surface, hydrostatic primitive ocean circulation model. The system produces various numerical estimates with different spatial resolutions using multi-nesting of numerical modeling domains. The Ensemble Kalman Filter is being implemented to assimilate sea surface temperature and sea surface height into the system. It is expected to provide accurate model estimations and to improve prediction skill. | - |
