dc.description.abstract Structural integrity assessment technique is proposed using ambient vibration measurements for light beacon structures. When the foundation of a structure is submerged under water, the visual inspection is difficult to be carried out. In such a case, the vibration-based structural integrity assessment can be exercised very efficiently because the vibration characteristics are related to the structural conditions such as scouring states. The proposed scheme consists of (1) ambient vibration measurements, (2) experimental modal analysis and (3) model updating for scouring assessment. Proposed scheme is verified using numerical simulation data and field measurement data. -
