Abstract

The whole life (including larvae to adults) growth equation based on estimated length-at-monthly-age was presented. We examined the formation of annuli using marginal observation the otolith to validate the age determination method and elucidated the life history by analyzing the otolith growth patterns. Monthly samples of Gunnels were obtained from bag net catch in the main fishing grounds off Boryeong in the West Coast of Korea in the Yellow Sea from November 1998 to October 1999.
