dc.description.abstract In this study, changes of dynamic characteristics under several damages in caisson-type harbor structures are analyzed to assess their structural healthy. In order to achieve the objective, the following approaches are implemented. Firstly, caisson-type quay is selected as target structure. And two dimensional and three dimensional finite element models are generated for the target structure. Secondly, several damage types for the target structure are presented. Finally, sensitivity of the dynamic characteristics for each damage-type in the target structure is estimated and applicability for vibration-based damage detection methods is evaluated. The 2-D model is used to investigate changes of dynamic characteristics due to flexural stiffness loss such as crack. The 3-D model is used to analyze changes of dynamic characteristics due to change of boundary conditions. -
