dc.description.abstract Land reclamation, occurred on a large scale in the recent decades, has also accelerated changes in the coastal and ocean environment. Multi-sensors remote sensing data such as land observing and ocean color satellite have become an essential component of Land-Ocean Interaction Study (LOIS) because it is possible to monitor from detailed coastal area to vast ocean. The objectives of this study were: (i) to present the tidal flat study using the land observing satellite such as Kompsat-1/2, IKONOS, Landsat TM/ETM+; (ii) to quantitatively estimate the suspended sediment (SS) distribution from time series Landsat TM/ETM+ in coastal area; and (iii) to evaluate the comparative analysis of Rrs and SS retrievals in the west coast of Korea from Landsat TM/ETM+ and SeaWiFS. Multi sensor integration study has the potential to provide synoptic information of coastal management. -
