- 2007년 12월7일 태안해역에서 Hebei Spirit호 유출사고가 일어났다. 한국해양연구원과일본항만공항기술연구소(PARI)는 합동으로 현지조사(12/20~22)를 실시하여, 유출유의 표류양상과 해안선의 피해, 선상 및 해안선에서의 방제활동 등의 조사를 실시, 이의현장테이터를 정리하였다.
