Abstract
Land reclamation, occurred on a large scale in the recent decades, has also accelerated changes in the coastal and ocean environment. Multi-sensors remote sensing data such as optic and SAR data have become an essential component of Land-Ocean Interaction Study (LOIS) because it is possible to monitor from detailed coastal area to vast ocean. The objectives of this study were: (i) to present the sedimentary environments (morphology and sedimentary facies) of tidal flat using the optic and SAR satellite such as Kompsat-1/2, IKONOS, ASTER, Landsat TM/ETM+, ERS-1/2, ALOS ; (ii) to quantitatively discriminate the benthos and biomass of tidal flat by object-based classification. Multi sensor integration study has the potential to provide spatial and synoptic information of tidal flat study and coastal management.
