dc.description.abstract A coupled typhoon-ocean model based on the GFDL Typhoon model (GFDLTM) and the Hybrid Coordinate Ocean Model (HYCOM) has been set up and applied to the typhoon Ewiniar 2006 (Ewiniar06). The interaction between the Ewiniar06 and the East China Sea has been investigated changing the momentum and heat exchange conditions. The East China Sea response to the Ewiniar06 also has been analyzed comparing with the Ieodo station data. The decay of the Ewiniar06 during the path of the East China Sea has been discussed. -
