Abstract
Recently, marine environment has been changing rapidly due to the climate change. Therefore, this study aimed to understand long term variation of STVM (seawater temperature volume model) in the South Sea of Korea. To construct 3D models, seawater temperature data were used monotered by National Fisheries Research & Development Institute in Korea and monitored from 1978 to 2007 bimonthly at 28 stations. These data include standard depth layers from sea surface to 150m depth, and has 3D spatial information such as longitude, latitude and depth. Using bimonthly STVMs, the spatially centroid positions of STVM were calculated, and then regression analysis was carried out for each spatial component. As a result, the centroid of STVM showed a trend moving to northeast.
