dc.description.abstract | The change of coastal phytoplankton community structure to the predicted ocean acidification and sea surface warming was studied using an outdoor mesocosm approach. The each enclosed mesocosm bag was filled with coastal waters from Jangmok bay in South Sea, Korea, and two sets of CO2 and temperature conditions (control: 380ppm, treatment I : 980ppm, treatment II: 980ppm and +3℃ warmer than control and treatment I) were set up. For the first from 0 to 12 days, nutrient replete period, highest peak of phytoplankton biomass was observed in the treatment I when diatoms were predominated at over 95%.
