Abstract
This paper describes the flight test of Slocum Electric(200m) underwater glider at Korean waters. The purpose of this test is to evaluate its performances and how it may be applicable at Korean waters. Through out the report operation structures and principles will be described. Also the preparation process before the flight and the procedures to control, communicate, monitor and data retrieval of the glider during and after the navigation will also be described. With the results acquired from the test flight, evaluation will be carried out to check the performance of the Slocum underwater glider and its application in Korean Waters. The drawbacks to its operation and its limit could be verified and could be used to overcome those problems in the future flight plans.
