dc.description.abstract Marine microorganisms are widley recongnized as an emerging source of new secondary metabolites with wide range of biological activities compared to terrestrial microorganisms. A marine bacterium pseudomonas sp. was isolated from a seawater sample collected in Uljin, Gyungbuk Province, Korea. This strain was mass cultured in PPES-II medium. Pseudomonic acid derivatives were isolated from the ethyl acetate extract of the culture broth by chromatographic technique. The structures of the pseudomonic acid derivatives were elucidated based on MS, NMR spectra analysis and literature review. -
