dc.description.abstract Local scour around offshore wind foundation was evaluated by using CSU formula and Flow-3D simulation in this study. Target area is western-southern coast area of Korea which is on-going offshore wind farm project. Numerical analysis results show that local increases of velocity around mono pile was developed but velocity decreases in backward of pile due to the wake vortex was observed. According to numerical analysis, local scour around mono pile with a diameter of 5m was developed at 0~5m away from mono pile. The maximum scour depth was about 5.24m.sults show that local increases of velocity around mono pile was developed but velocity decreases in backward of pile due to the wake vortex was observed.
