dc.description.abstract | Marine microorganisms are widely recognized as a emerging source of new secondary metabolites with wide range of biological activities compared to terrestrial microorganisms. A marine bacterium pseudomonas sp. was isolated from a seawater sample collected in Uljin,Gyungbuk Province,Korea. This strain was mass cultured in PPES-ⅡMedium. A novel fatty acid was isolated from the ethyl acetate extract of the culture broth by chromatographic technique. The structure of the fatty acid was elucidated based on MS, NMR spectra analysis and literature review. | - |
