dc.description.abstract The construction cost of substructures and foundations for offshore wind turbines is expected to increase with increasing the turbine capacity and the water depth of wind farms. The bucket foundations penetrated by suction are known for the relative economical method in the deep water condition. This study presents the penetration behavior of the model bucket foundation carried out by the laboratory equipment which is able to simulate the process of installation of the bucket foundation in field. the relative economical method in the deep water condition.
