Abstract
One of the efficient ways to simulate the propagation of real sea waves is using internalgeneration of waves technique. Recently, this technique has been developed for waves withdamping in shallow water area (Lee et at. 2011). However this approach did not givegood results with large damping coefficient (when damping coefficient is larger than 0.2times the angular frequency). In this study, using the Dirac delta and Gaussian sourcefunctions, we generate waves internally in linear shallow water equations with energy dissipation. The two functions give satisfactory results.
