Abstract
This study presents the relative motions in multiple caisson units due to foundation damage. To obtain theobjective, the following approaches are performed. Firstly, a finite element (FE) model of two-caisson system with simulationsoil-structure interaction is established in commercial software ANSYS in order to investigate relative motions in harbor caisson system.Secondly, relative displacement of caisson units under various foundation damage scenarios is measured from static and dynamicstates. Thirdly, the results are analyzed to monitor the health condition of the target harbor caisson.oil-structure interaction is established in commercial software ANSYS in order to investigate relative motions in harbor caisson system.Secondly, relative displacement of caisson units under various foundation damage scenarios is measured from static and dynamicstates.
