dc.description.abstract | Climate change is impacting the ocean by changing major ocean current systems, raising sea levels, warming waters, and making the ocean more acidic. Among these threats, transcript responses to sea water temperature increasing, ocean acidification were evaluated in a brown alga species, Ecklonia cava and a soft coral species, Scleronephthya gracillimum, both of which have high ecological value in maintaining the biodiversity in coastal area ecosystems by using differential display polymerase chain reaction (DD-PCR) and DNA microarray hybridization technique. The hypoxia which has been occurred in coastal area during the summer season is also focused, besides to these marine environmental changes. The DD-PCR technique was introduced to hypoxic condition exposed mussel (Mytilus galloprovincialis) to isolate the differentially expressed gene candidates. The differentially expressed transcripts which obtained by the analyses will used as multiple biomarkers for predict and prognosis of metabolic alteration in target organisms to each environmental changes.idification were evaluated in a brown alga species, Ecklonia cava and a soft coral species, Scleronephthya gracillimum, both of which have high ecological value in maintaining the biodiversity in coastal area ecosystems by using differential display polymerase chain reaction (DD-PCR) and DNA microarray hybridization technique.
