dc.description.abstract Marine microorganisms have attracted considerable attention due to the structural diversities and unique biological activities of their secondary metabolites. The screening of marine microbial natural products continues to represent an important route to the discovery of novel compounds for the development of new therapeutic agents. In our ongoing research to develop the biomedical potential of marine microorganisms, we have isolated lots of novel bioactive metabolites from marine-derived bacteria. We present here the discovery of novel bioactive compounds from marine microorganisms. The isolation, structure determination, and bioactivities of the compounds will be presented.important route to the discovery of novel compounds for the development of new therapeutic agents. In our ongoing research to develop the biomedical potential of marine microorganisms, we have isolated lots of novel bioactive metabolites from marine-derived bacteria.
