Abstract
The need for high-throughput recombinant DNA technology is demanding due to the rapidly increased interest in functional genomics studies following the surge of data generated by next generation sequencing. We developed one-step sequence- and ligation-independent cloning (SLIC) as a simple, cost-effective, time-saving, and versatile cloning method. One-step SLIC offer a uniform conversion of genes into one context to another and would make high-throughput gene cloning practical for functional genomics studies and greatly facilitate synthetic biology. This work was supported by KORDI in-house program, the MEGRC program and the Development of Biohydrogen Production Technology using the Hyperthermophilic Archaea program of the Ministry of Land, Transport, and Maritime Affairs.e- and ligation-independent cloning (SLIC) as a simple, cost-effective, time-saving, and versatile cloning method.
