Abstract

After in-orbit testing of Geostationary Ocean Color Imager (GOCI) for about 9 months, Korea Ocean Satellite Center (KOSC) has provided 3 GOCI images per a day through a web-based distribution system since Apr. 2011. Users can get Level 1B and Level 2 data. The GOCI Data Processing System (GDPS) also has been offered from the web, which is interactive software to process and analysis GOCI data by user, developed by KOSC.In 2013, KOSC have two plans to improve the data service. One is to release an upgraded GDPS (Ver. 1.2) and the other is to improve the data distribution service. The GDPS Ver. 1.2 can generate 11 additional products compared with the existing GDPS. The method of data distribution will be changed to open access without user authentications. These improvements will help users to analyse and access the GOCI data more conveniently.1B and Level 2 data.
