dc.description.abstract GOCI Data Processing System (GDPS) has developed to process and analysis Geostationary Ocean Color Imager (GOCI) data. For users, GDPS viewer software was first released in Apr. 2011 and GDPS ver.1.2 has been provided since Mar. 2013 through the KOSC website (http://kosc.kiost.ac). The previous version, GDPS ver.1.1, could generate only basic products such as Water leaving radiance (Lw, nLw), Chlorophyll concentration (CHL), Total Suspended Sediment concentration (TSS), Colored Dissolved Organic Matter (CDOM). In GDPS ver.1.2, available products are expanded to Water Current Vector (WCV), Underwater Visibility (VIS), Red-tide Index (RI), Yellow dust (Dust), Vegetation index (Land), Rayleigh Correction Reflectance (RCR), etc. Batch processing function can process maximum 1,000 data at once and extract GOCI pixel data corresponding in-situ observation point. As GDPS can support to 64-bit Windows operating system, simultaneous displays are enhanced from 6 up to 8. There are still some issues to be updated: auxiliary information, software errors and so on. To solve these issues, new version of software is being designed and will be provided next summer. Level 2 flags will be defined to provide detail information of generated data: mask, low solar zenith angle, out of valid range, negative total backscattering coefficient, missing ancillary data, sun-glint contamination, and atmospheric algorithm failure. Improved atmh the KOSC website (http://kosc.kiost.ac).
