Abstract
The staghorn damselfish,is one of the most common reef fish species in Chuuk lagoon. Here, wereport the reproductive characteristics of female A. curacao including annual annual reproductive cycle and size at maturity. The characteristics were examined using gonad histology andestimated the gonadosomatic index (GSI). The coexistence of vitellogenic oocytes of different developmental stages and postovulatory follicles in spawning stage ovaries indicated thatthis species is a multiple spawner. The size at first maturity was 73.9 mm total length for females. The spawning cycle of this species appeared to be non histological examinations. were examined using gonad histology andestimated the gonadosomatic index (GSI).
